Hi all, I really don’t like to ask for help but these are some pretty trying times and we have had some real unfortunate things happen. I’m not getting into the unfortunates that COVID has brought onto all of us, but I’ll tell you about my daughter who is always so full of life and joy, she absolutely needs some peace of mind to help ease the trauma and challenges that lie ahead.
On October 23 just after dinner, my daughter Kalista, her aunties, one cousin and Kalista’s grandfather were traveling west of Raymond when an accident in severe weather occurred.
This little girl has endured more than most 9 year olds. Parents separated and she’s lived in 5 communities in 9 years as a result. Unfortunately during the separation, home life became unstable, Kalista and her brother had to spend time in Kinship with family. She lost her grandma last month. Now she is in intensely physical pain after the accident.
We have been in the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, waiting on swelling to subside to determine the level of reconstructive surgery required. We expect to be back and forth from Raymond for months.
I’ll be honest, finding work has been tough and won’t be easier with the time I have to commit to Kalista. Her seeing the stresses of simple things like affording a tank of fuel or household daily financial challenges, just isn’t fair at this point in time for her.
Help if you can, the good will always comes full circle.
Thank you
Jared Still
