Dass Home Destroyed in Fire. Please Help!

First, let me say, P.K. Dass is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. He and his wife, Valerie, watched as a fire destroyed their home. 2 of their beloved cats died in this fire, and I know they are heartbroken. Their animals are family to them!

Many of you know Mr. Dass as a TISD teacher who has helped many children throughout his career. (mine included) Christmas is coming, so I'm asking you to open your hearts and let us help this family of 5 get back on their feet. They have moved to a hotel for now, but we hope to help them find a rental home in time for Christmas. Donations can also be dropped at Stanley's BBQ or Nicholas Pet Haven. "I can hardly put into words all the love that has been sent to my family and me.

I have had a pretty cool, adventurous life, also not without heart aches. But nothing is as heartbreaking as watching my loving home of 35 years go up in flames. What made it more horrific, we lost two of our family cats, Cosmo and Frito. They were upstairs when the fire started, and the wall of fire blasted across the loft area, and we could not get to them. We did not know if cat Cheeto was inside or outside.

Fortunately for us, we were downstairs with our dog Bonnie, and had time to run out the front door. It all happened so fast.

It was a nightmare.

The fire started around 8 pm, and close to 1 am when the last fire truck left.

Some good news, this morning when P.K. went back to the house Cheeto was there! ❤️

I know, this too shall pass .

I Will take the time to grieve the loss I am feeling right now.

Honestly, I am seeing some light at the end of this dark tunnel.

I do have a lot to be grateful for.
