Dasha continues to fight bravely through advanced kidney disease and FIV. Her appetite and spirit are still there, but her recent dental complications have added new challenges and costs. We’re currently working on helping her gain enough weight and strength so she can safely undergo a dental surgery to remove the painful roots left from her previous procedure. Thanks to your support, she’s come such a long way but her journey is far from over.
Hi everyone,
My name is Ezgi, and I'm fundraising for my soulmate, Dasha. This is her story.
Seven months ago, I met a terrified warrior. Rescued from a situation of neglect, Dasha was diagnosed with end-stage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and FIV+.
The veterinarians gave her a prognosis of one week at most, pressuring to see euthanasia as the only kind option.
I refused to believe her story had to end there. I knew the aggressive cat who lashed out was just a frightened soul trying to survive. So, we embarked on an incredible journey of healing together.
For the past seven months, through intensive
daily care, regular SubQ fluid treatments, a special diet, and a whole lot of patience, a miracle has unfolded. The frightened cat who couldn't be touched has transformed.
She has revealed her true self: a brave, stubborn, and incredibly loving soul who now sleeps like a scarf on my neck at night and still finds the energy to play with her favorite tiny toys.
This miracle, however, is a daily fight that requires constant resources. As I am currently in my 10th month of unemployment after an unexpected layoff, I've found myself in a position where I can give Dasha all the time and care she needs, but I'm struggling to cover her mounting medical bills on my own.
The funds from this campaign will be used exclusively for these essential needs to ensure she remains as comfortable and happy as possible:
• Regular vet check-ups to monitor her kidney values.
• Daily medications and supplements.
• Specialized prescription food to support her health.
She is more than just a pet to me. I took Dasha in during one of the most difficult times of my own life. In saving her, she truly saved me. She has given me a profound sense of purpose, unconditional love, and has become a daily, living reminder of the power of compassion and resilience.
Now, I'm humbly asking for your help to continue her journey.
Any donation, no matter how small, will directly contribute to her care and give us more precious time together.
If you're unable to donate, sharing this story with your network would also mean the world to us.
Thank you for reading and for being a part of Dasha's story of hope.
With gratitude,
Ezgi & Dasha
