Daryle Gage James Cremation & Viewing

Hi Everyone, my name is Kayla Pengelly. I am the niece of John James who is Daryle’s dad, my mom Darylee James is Johnny’s sister who is helping with all of the arrangements. I have been asked by them to create an official go fund me. There was another set up but we weren’t sure of actual costs or if Daryle was being cremated or buried so it was taken down. Daryle’s dad has decided that Daryle Gage will be Cremated. The proceeds raised from that one are being applied to Daryle’s cremation. I believe the original go fund me earned around $200. Today my mom talked with the funeral home and the total costs for everything will be $5,100 which includes:

- Viewing (only 25 people are allowed to attend)
- Cremation 
- Donation to the Church where A service of remembrance will be held

Unfortunately this doesn’t even include the celebration of life we will be holding for him.


As all of you know my little cousin Daryle Gage James passed away on April 7, 2021 from Overdose of fentanyl. Daryle had been struggling with addiction and unfortunately it took him from us. Daryle didn’t always have it easy growing up, he had his battles that’s for sure, however he always had a family who cared and adored him deeply. We all welcome each other with open arms. Growing up I remember Daryle always at one of our houses, they say cousins are your first best friends.... well with Daryle it was more like another Brother! He was always so helpful in anyway he could be, always so gentle, but if he made a mess he would always immediately apologize and say I’ll clean it right now like 5 times... I never knew why but we would always say “Daryle it’s okay, it’s not a big deal. Thank you for cleaning it” As we got older and had kids Daryle was always the first to want to hang out with them and adore them. He would even help out with their homework, always had a helping hand to give no matter what!! He was a ray of sunshine on your darkest day and would always did his best to turn anyone’s frown upside down despite how he was feeling. I could go on and on with what a good person he was. His good definitely out weighed his bad. It is with heavy heart to even have to create this... I know financials are hard right now for everyone but even if it’s $5. It helps! We appreciate everyone’s help, Daryle loved each and every one of you!
