Hello, my name is Catrina Cosman; we are raising money to support a fellow retired police officer raise funds to assist with medical expenses for a heart transplant. The prior GoFundMe was set up last year was for medical expenses for a heart pump, Dr visits and a generator in case of a power outage. That money has already been depleted. 

 

Daryl Wilkes grew up in Pflugerville, graduated from Pflugerville High School, and later became a police officer for the Pflugerville Police Department. Daryl dedicated his life to serving the citizens of Pflugerville for 32 years and it is, to this day, what he is most proud of. Approximately 10 months after retirement Daryl was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Due to this diagnosis, Daryl was not able to work and lost his health insurance. Over the past year he has worked on building his strength and getting used to living with the LVAD (Left Ventricle Assistance Device). He is now preparing for pre-transplant testing and hopefully a heart transplant. We now want to give back to Daryl and help him with the costly medical expenses he has and is accruing.
