I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Daryl’s family who are living through every family’s worst nightmare.

Just six months after the devastating loss of their mum, this family has suffered another unimaginable tragedy. Their beloved 29-year-old brother has died by suicide after a long struggle with his mental health.

He was the oldest of four siblings and was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. He reached out for help on multiple occasions and sought support from medical professionals because he knew he was struggling. Tragically, despite asking for help, his pain became too much to bear.

His three younger siblings are now left grieving not only the loss of their brother, but also still trying to cope with losing their mum only months ago. At a time when they should be allowed to mourn, they have instead been faced with the overwhelming financial responsibility of arranging his funeral.

No family should have to endure this amount of heartbreak in such a short space of time, and no young siblings should have to worry about how they are going to pay to lay their brother to rest.

This fundraiser is to help lift that burden from their shoulders and give him the respectful, dignified farewell he deserves. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly towards funeral costs and supporting the family through this incredibly difficult time.
