Daryl Fox & family recovering from Hurricane IAN
Donation protected
Hello, my family & I have never been the kind of people to ask for help & this is the toughest thing I have ever had to do. My family & I have lost everything we have ever owned in hurricane IAN. We now find ourselves standing in food pantry lines and wearing used donated clothes, underwear & shoes. I worked as a handyman in our mobile home park named Indian Creek which was 2 miles away from Ft Myers Beach & Sanibel Island (ground zero). Along with our home & personal belongings, I lost all of my tools that used to make a living with. Hurricane IAN dumped 8ft of ocean onto our home & destroyed everything. After the water receded, we went to our home to try and salvage anything we could but quickly found that flooded homes grew mold very fast, as well as, backed up sewage into every property for miles around. Today I find myself asking my fellow man for any help you may find in your hearts to give. $1 doesn't seem like much but it is the world to me & my family right now. With any donations received, we will buy food, personal items, clothes, underwear, shoes, tools and any money left over will go towards a home for us. I am asking for a hand-up not a hand-out. Mailing things to us right now is not an option as we have no address to give. If it doesn't burden you or your family, we sure could use some help right now. Thank you so much & may GOD bless us all!
