Darwin Villacis surgery expenses

Darwin Villacis- a Father, a husband, a Friend… and so much more.

Our dad is a kind man, all the way to his core. A patient and empathetic man. A man of unending forgiveness and a man willing to give you the jacket on his shoulders if you’re cold. A son that will always show up . A father that loves you beyond measure (even when you’re the worst teenager). An explorer of mountains and trails. A fanatic of cars and all things handy.

And above all an unwavering believer of God.

After a good year for the Villacis; from a wedding, to holiday together, to our final college graduation, and to finally getting the opportunity to spend time together as a whole, we’ve arrived to the end of 2023. This year will be ending with hospital visits and many nights spent in prayer.

Our dad was diagnosed with colon cancer on November 11, 2023. After multiple colonoscopies, ct scans, blood work, and now one final surgery, we need your help.

Darwin, our dad, will have surgery on January 6, 2024. He will get admitted on January 5th and most likely have a 5-6 day admission pending on no complications after surgery. Surgery will consist of him getting his gallbladder removed (a separate problem to his current tumor) and of course have a colectomy to remove the cancer.

There will be many unknowns after this but we will face them together as a family.

We are writing this and asking for the much needed help that my parents will need for financial help with these medical bills. After sacrificing by putting 3 kids (Josue, Naomi, and Daniel) through college in other countries and giving us a life full of joy and opportunities, we are asking you to help us help them.

If you’re able to help in a monetary way we would appreciate it greatly, but we what we ask for is your prayers. If you don’t pray, just keep our father in your thoughts on January 6th.

Darwin Villacis- un padre, un esposo, un amigo... y mucho mas.

Nuestro padre es un hombre amable con un gran corazón. Un hombre paciente y empático. Un hombre de perdón interminable y un hombre dispuesto a darte la chaqueta sobre sus hombros si tienes frío. Un hijo que siempre está a tu lado. Un padre que te quiere sin medida (incluso cuando eres el peor adolescente). Explorador de montañas y senderos. Un amante de los autos y todo lo que requiera usar sus manos.

Y sobre todo un inquebrantable creyente de Dios.

Después de un buen año para los Villacis; desde una boda, a vacaciones juntos, a nuestra graduación final de la universidad, y a finalmente tener la oportunidad de pasar tiempo juntos, hemos llegado al final de 2023. Este año terminará con visitas al hospital y muchos días en oración.

A nuestro padre le diagnosticaron cáncer de colon el 11 de noviembre de 2023. Después de múltiples colonoscopias, tomografías computarizadas, análisis de sangre, y ahora una cirugía final, necesitamos su ayuda.

Darwin, nuestro padre, será operado el 6 de enero de 2024. Será admitido el 5 de enero y lo más probable es que tenga una admisión de 5-6 días en espera de que no haya complicaciones después de la cirugía. La operación consistirá en extirparle la vesícula (un problema adicional de su tumor actual) y por supuesto hacerle una colectomía para extirparle el cáncer.

Habrá muchas incógnitas después de esto pero las afrontaremos juntos como familia.

Estamos escribiendo esto y pidiendo la ayuda tan necesaria que mis padres requerirán para cubrir los gastos de esta cirugía.

Después de sacrificarse mandando a 3 hijos (Josué, Naomi y Daniel) a la universidad en otros países y dándoles una vida llena de alegrías y oportunidades, les pedimos que nos ayuden a ayudarles a nuestros padres.
