Aiming to walk over 100 miles over 3 days. Walking the perimeter of Dartmoor National Forest.

This summer, I have the life-changing opportunity to travel to the Sacred Valley in Peru with Camps International for a four-week expedition. This isn't a holiday; it’s a hands-on mission to work alongside local communities on vital sustainable development and conservation projects.

The Mission

The Sacred Valley is breathtaking, but many indigenous communities face significant challenges. During my month there, I will be rolled-up-sleeves deep in projects that include:

Building essential infrastructure: Constructing schools, community greenhouses, and housing for local families.

Water Security: Helping install systems to provide clean water to rural areas.

Conservation: Engaging in reforestation efforts to protect the Andean environment.

The Challenge To earn my place on this expedition and raise the necessary funds, I wanted to do something that truly tests my limits. That’s why I am taking on the Dartmoor Way.

I will walk the full 109-mile (175km) circular route around Dartmoor National Park. To make it a true "ultra" challenge, I am aiming to complete the entire distance in just 3 days. This means walking roughly 36 miles a day over steep hills, rocky paths, and unpredictable weather. It will be the hardest physical thing I have ever done.
