Darshel’s Cancer Recovery Fund

I am doing this for my friend, Michelle's family, whose mom Darshel was just diagnosed with metastatic cancer after 4 weeks in the hospital.

Right before Christmas, she went to the hospital with acute pain, where she found out she has cancer and had to have 2 major surgeries immediately. Anyone who knows this family knows they take care of their issues alone. However, I have chosen to help because they deserve it.

Darshel is an incredibly intelligent and inspiring woman. She received and worked hard for her masters degree as a Nurse Practitioner at 60 years old!

When this tragedy struck, Darshel was in the middle of opening a business. This has always been her lifelong dream; meaning tons of money was poured out. On top of this, her family has been struggling to plan funerals for my friends Step Mom who passed away unexpectedly in November; and her brother who died unexpectedly on New Year's Eve. Because of this constant cycle of loss, they are not prepared to cover the cost of multiple funerals AND recoup all the losses of Darshels business; not to mention necessary medical expenses Darshel needs.

Darshel is a survivor. Even though she is going through so much, she is more concerned with others' well being. We want to help her anyway we can. Since she would never ask anyone for help, I will! Darshel has always tried to make others smile and feel comfortable. She makes friends everywhere she goes and if you follow the trail of laughs, you'll find her. Even in the hospital, she has made friends with every worker and makes everyone feel included.

We are scared for her future. While we are praying for her recovery, a financial donation would relieve an immense amount of stress on this family. Thank you for your help during this time. Please keep this family, and especially Darshel, in your prayers.
