Hi, my name is Cassandra and I am helping to raise funds for my good friend Darryl Blackman as he fights to recover from cancer.

Darryl, is facing one of the toughest battles of his life. Since April 2025, he has endured exhausting treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation as well as countless medical appointments, Darryl ultimately required two major surgeries during his one month hospital stay. While the procedure was necessary, it has left him unable to work as he focuses on healing and regaining his strength.

As many know, the financial strain that comes with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. Because of the trauma from medical complications, doctors would like Darryl to go through trauma therapy at his own expense as well.

Anyone who knows Darryl knows he is the type of person who would never ask for help on his own. He’s always been the one to quietly push through and support others without hesitation. That’s why this GoFundMe is being created for him—because now he needs the same kindness he has always offered to everyone else.

We’re raising funds to help cover: Ongoing medical expenses, Post-surgery care and follow-up treatments, Monthly bills and essential living costs during his recovery.
