Help Darryl through these tough times
Donation protected
On Monday, July 4, our healthy 51-year-old brother was experiencing flu-like
symptoms and excruciating chest and back pain. Darryl was visiting Trinidad at the time and
decided to go to the local clinic. He learned at that time that one of his lungs had collapsed. He
was immediately given a referral to go to an emergency room, where he would hear news no
one wants to ever hear… "There was fluid in his lungs, which is cancerous." From here, he
quickly learned that his life would not be the same.
Darryl has since traveled back to Georgia where he resides and was diagnosed with Stage 4
lung cancer which has already spread to the vertebrae on his back. Darryl has insufficient
insurance and for the past two weeks has been confronted with the challenge of not being
treated unless he is able to pay the medical cost. Darryl has hopes of receiving chemotherapy
or engaging in highly invasive surgery to attempt to remove all tumors. He has an incredibly
long hard road of recovery ahead of him.
Darryl means the world to so many people, and those who know him know he is a fighter and
resilient individual. He is determined to become cancer-free and is ready for this fight despite all
the challenges. He has an optimistic outlook. And now he needs your help to get through it.
Darryl will not be able to work during this trying time, which burdens his finances. He must fully
dedicate his time and energy to intense treatments to beat his cancer. We know times are hard
for many of you, but we humbly ask if you can contribute to helping Darryl and supplement his
costly medical and living expenses. Your donations will allow Darryl to fully focus on what's most
important...fighting cancer and working towards a full recovery!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your donations, prayers, and all the positive
energy you've already sent out in the Universe to him. We will keep you updated on his journey
and ask if you could please share this GoFundMe page on all social media platforms.
Thank you for all your love and support in his battle!
