Darryl Hudson Bad Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
On July 25th, 2020 Darryl’s family received a phone call that he was in a severe motorcycle accident and was being taken to Regions trauma center. Darryl hit some bumps in the road causing him to lose control and hit a parked car. He sustained severe injuries and while none are life threatening, they are life changing. His surgical team did all they could to save his left foot but could not and were forced to amputate his left leg below the knee. Darryl also sustained severe lacerations to his face, a broken nose, broken right hand in multiple places, chipped left elbow with severe tissue damage, and his body covered in road rash.
Darryl will be in a wheelchair for a while. There will be several surgeries, his hospital stay, transitional care facility, mental health care, physical therapy, prosthetic care, and other medical bills that will need to be covered. While he does have insurance there will still be out-of-pocket medical expenses. Darryl also has 3 children that rely on his care and support in addition to his monthly living expenses that will still need to be covered while he’s out of work for several months.
Those that are friends of Darryl know that he never asks for anyone’s help, ever. But in this extreme circumstance, Darryl’s family and friends are reaching out and asking for help in his time of need. Any amount will help, and no donation is too small – if you’re unable to donate, please help spread the word and share this information. We want to help relieve some of the financial burden and stress and cannot wait for him to recover back to the “D-HUD” that we all know and love!! We appreciate all the love and support during this time! #DSquad
