Darrochs tribute rebuild for father and family.
Hello! My name is Chris, I am writing this today in hopes of reaching any or all people with this gofundme.
Darroch was involved in a Motor vehicle accident at 9:15pm on July 19th, that injured and took the life of others and also later that week, he succumb to his own injuries.
Knowing Doug, a retired RCMP Officer and Linda a retired Nurse, Adriaan and I felt it would be nice to do something for Doug and his family. Adriaan and I have decided to rebuild one of the sons Harley-davidson's. Darroch and his father both shared a love for bikes and the open road, so this idea fit with the current situation.
I reached out to the sister Chellan as the parents wanted some time to them selves, faced with the task of burying a son, it was understandable and respected!
Upon further communication with the sister I received this reply,
"Ok - I've spoken to my Dad.
He is more than happy for you to do this - he started to cry. He's really proud of you for wanting to do this for Darroch and he appreciates it very much - he knows he would never get around to fixing Roxanne up so for you to do this for him is really amazing.
He's a bit emotional about it now but he said to call him tomorrow to discuss and organise the details. (He needs a bit of time!!!)
He doesn't like taking gifts but thought this was a good idea and happy for the go fund me page too - he thinks that would help a lot.
He wants to ride Roxanne when we spread Darroch's ashes next year (when I can get home)
So thank you so so much for giving this gift to my Dad ".
So with that Adriaan and I have decided to go ahead with the frame up restoration of a sons Harley-davidson. We are going ahead with this build regardless of how well the gofundme page does but hope it helps out alot, if by chance this gofundme does well, Adriaan and I will still gladly have the family (the beneficiaries of this page) use any or all funds available to them for anything while they face this immensely hard task.
We will be trying to keep track of all names of people who helped us out and posting it on a board, it will also be presented with the bike, to show the family of all the people who cared for and supported them in this horrible time.
