I am sponsoring this Go Fund Me to help my dear friend Sarah, help defray the funeral costs for her husband Darrin’s funeral. Any additional money will go to their surviving son Jack’s college fund.

Darrin Anderson passed away suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 after a brief battle with a pulmonary embolism. Darrin’s sudden death has left a gaping hole for the family – a family that has already suffered more losses than any family should. This was entirely unexpected and the high cost of a funeral service is an additional burden on this suffering family.

Darrin was a dedicated father, husband and friend who touched the lives of those around him in so many ways. He leaves behind his wife Sarah, a recent breast cancer survivor, and son Jack. Darrin was predeceased by their other son, Henry.

After Henry’s passing in 2009, Darrin worked tirelessly to figure out what the mystery cause was. He researched over 6000 rare diseases, working feverishly to solve the mystery of Henry’s death to help save Jack. After figuring it out, he worked tirelessly to get the $2 newborn screening added to the panel of existing screening tests, with no traction.

Darrin loved games, history, debates on Facebook and above all, his family. In spite of all the challenges their family endured, he worked hard through it all. Darrin deserves a special memorial to honor his memory for people to say their goodbyes. The funeral is set for Saturday October 2 with Visitation from 1-3PM and service at 3PM, Seefeld’s Funeral Home in Oshkosh, WI.
