Darrian's Legal Fund: A family's hope.
Sometimes in life, we stumble, we fall, we trust people we shouldn't and subsequently pay the inevitable price. In this situation, I am the mother of a young man named Darrian Logan, who has always been a typical law-abiding U.S. American citizen who worked an honest living, has a heart of gold, and never has nor ever will be a violent human being because he wasn't raised that way. He lost his best friend, his father, a U.S. Army veteran who died from COVID in 2023. This left him heartbroken, but he persevered through his irreplaceable loss.
Fast forward, there's an old saying that goes similarly to this: "open an account for bail money" because you never know when a family member will need it. As a parent, I wasn't prepared for the phone call I received on May 13, 2025. After all, Darrian and I had just spent a lovely Mother's Day in church together, and later that day, he stated that his friend since middle school was coming by to pick him up and ride to relatives who lived in a nearby state. The circumstances drastically turned, and instead, I got a call from my son that he was being detained. I was shocked, hurt, confused, and had a lot of questions. His charges are non-violent, and he has never been in this criminal situation before. As his lone surviving parent, I am deeply humbling myself to ask for donations to bring him home. Darrian is a good, decent human being, and anyone that truly knows him will agree. This incident is a tough lesson to learn. Please don't judge him from this one incident. If you don't wish to give, God bless you! If you do wish to give, give freely, and God bless you!! Darrian is a good, decent young man. This is not the time for nasty, judgmental comments. Thank you to all of Darrian's friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers that step up and help him by giving. We appreciate your help!!
