Hi friends and family, My name is Darren Morris. I am so excitedddd! I have been presented with an opportunity of a lifetime. I was selected and invited to attend a masterclass in Los Angeles with one of the music industry's great engineers, Josh Gudwin, in June 2022. Josh Gudwin is a grammy-winning engineer working with artists such as Justin Beiber, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, JLO, Tainy, J-Balvin, Bad Bunny etc. I have looked up to Josh and his work for as long as I began learning music production and engineering. Things of this magnitude don't happen every day. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Below is an overview of what this Masterclass entails:

"Participants can expect a hands-on, engaging curriculum covering vocal recording & production, mixing in stereo and mixing in Atmos. Through daily group sessions observing Josh work, focused sessions allowing everyone time in the chair executing real industry applications, one-on-one time with Josh, open discussions and guest speakers, the masterclass will further your understanding and knowledge of the craft.Participants will walk away with strong insight into the operations & high standards that Josh and his team bring to the studio on a daily basis plus new skills and techniques to apply to your own work."

Growing up, I knew I wanted to create music for a living. It was the only thing I ever loved. I remember so loudly being told by people in my life that music wasn't a realistic dream for me. A year ago, I started my own production company called Harvest Music Group LLC. I have begun to help others via engineering and production with their music projects and my own songs that you may have heard. For the last 4-5 years leading up to the launch of Harvest Music, I have spent hours upon hours absorbing information in the form of "Youtube University" and other online platforms. One of the things I've heard over time learning from different industry greats is you need to get into the room (into studios, collaborating, learning). This is a major opportunity to get in the room with and learn from one of my biggest inspirations. I share all of this so you can understand there's nothing I desire more than to grow as a producer and engineer. The reality is it took me until I was 30 years old to believe greater things were possible for me.

Should you choose to invest in me, you are investing in someone who values growth, values the process, and takes what I do very seriously. If you know me personally, you know I am never one to ask for help. But as I said before, this feels once in a lifetime. Maybe one day, this will be a normal thing to be in a room with an engineer like Josh Gudwin; who knows. This fundraiser will provide for "tuition" and expenses towards the trip.
