A few days ago, my 16 year old brother, Darren, was in a terrible skateboarding accident. Since then he has been in the fight of his life. He has had part of his skull removed in efforts to keep the swelling of his brain down. He is now in a medically induced coma but making progress towards recovery. Although his Doctors are pleased with his progress so far, he has a long road to go. It is uncertain at this time what the future holds for him and our family, and it is too early to determine what his future treatment plan will be. However, one thing is for certain, it will be a long road to recovery. Any contribution will help Darren and our family get the adequate treatment that he needs.
