Help Darren Seely rebuild from house fire

Donation protected
On Friday May 19th, one of our teachers, Darren Seely, received a call that no one ever wants to receive - “Your house is on fire.” His only thoughts were of saving his dog as he ran out of school wearing his “One Grafton” t-shirt. Unfortunately, his house could not be saved but his beloved golden retriever, Jackson, was rescued with the help of neighbors and firefighters - many of whom were his former students.

Darren has taught at Grafton Middle School for 21 years and has sent both his children through the Grafton Public Schools. Anyone aged 13-35 from Grafton knows what a selfless, kind and generous man he is. He is a devoted public servant and proud educator. He is a loyal friend to many and loves a good joke. He has volunteered in the Grafton community as well as served as a member of the ski patrol at Ski Butternut in Great Barrington, MA since he was a young man.

Darren is a humble guy who is the first to lend a hand when any one of his friends and colleagues needs help. He is not used to being the one in need of help. We, his friends and colleagues, have set up this fund to help him get back on his feet as he has lost everything but the clothes on his back. We would like to help the Seely family with immediate needs. We hope the greater Grafton community will help and give back to one of their own. Let’s show Mr. Seely how much he is valued by our community. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Please spread the word.
