On November 16, 2020 Darren was in the
emergency room with several stomach pain.
After further testing the doctors discovered a 7cm x 7cm x 6cm mass in his colon. The
doctors were unable to remove the mass at
that time due to the size and risk of
complications of bleeding. While Darren was
in the hospital recovering from surgery he
endured more testing, this time revealing the baseball sized tumor was in fact a
Adenocarcinoma, Stage 3 Colon Cancer.
Chemo was set to start on December 8th but COVID delayed the infusa port placement.
Darren was Finally able to begin Chemo
treatment December 29th. The plan is to
complete 12 rounds of Chemo with a CT scan to follow after the treatments are completed. Along with the Chemo Darren is also doing
Immunotherapy.

Darren and his wife Penny have two beautiful daughters Amber, 20 and Abigail, 16. This year Darren and Penny will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary!
