Darren Gulliford

Hi I’m Shane, Darren’s cousin. Darren sadly died on 22nd April 2025 after a very short illness, surrounded by family. He was diagnosed only a matter of weeks ago with metastatic oesophageal cancer. This news hit him hard as well as to his friends and family. To think we were told he may only have months, to then lose him only a few weeks later.

What has become apparent since his death is how popular he was! Reading all the comments on social media, posts of sympathy and memories, has been amazing and so heartwarming! We really hope Darren knew how much he was loved and if he didn’t, we hope he does now!

We have been told that there have been so many offers of people wanting to contribute to his funeral to give him the best possible send off that he deserves, so if you can spare even the smallest amount, we are sure Darren would be overwhelmed with the continuing love and support for him…… one of Glastonbury’s finest.
