On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, we lost a brother, son, grandson, son-in-law, uncle, cousin, friend, and most importantly, a husband and a father to three precious girls.

Darren Gartner was many things. He was a larrikin, an old soul, caring beyond measure and wise beyond his years.

When his wife, Jacinta, was 39 weeks pregnant with their third beautiful baby girl, Darren was diagnosed with blood cancer, that would eventually ravage his body, but never, not for even one second, his spirit. He fought for almost five good years.

Another thing Darren was, was an incredibly gifted handyman. Over the last few years of his life, he took it upon himself to renovate his house. To create a space for his young family to grow up and make memories.

Unfortunately, cancer had other ideas and prevented him from finishing his house renovations (let's just say he got a little bit too busy in the end).

Darren was 29 years old and leaves behind his beloved wife Jacinta, his oldest daughter Tilly who is 9, his middle girl Ella who is 6 and his youngest baby Heidi who is 4 years old.

This is where we all jump in. Let's finish this house for Daz. Let's make sure he has the send off he deserves and let's make sure his beautiful wife and babies never go without a thing.

Darren, you were loved beyond measure. You were taken too soon. We will continue to fight for everything you ever wanted, just the way you fought for all of us right until the end.
