Darren and Molly's Fight with Cancer

My name is Sam Carver and I am the daughter of Darren and Molly Everett. Our family was hit with devastating news this week and we are asking the community help. My dad has received news that he has a large cancerous mass in his colon and will need surgery ASAP. This is a devastating blow to the family as my mother is also currently battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, with metastasis in her liver, and is currently undergoing an intense chemo treatment to fight it.

My mother has not been able to work due to her disease and my dad owns a small paint and body shop that gets by every month. Surgery and likely chemotherapy is in his future and he will need to take time off of work, which will mean very little income for bills, property taxes, business rent, groceries, etc. One parent battling cancer is already hard enough and I cannot imagine what life is going to be like with both of them fighting this hard battle.

My parents are wonderful people who do not deserve the hand that has been dealt to them. They are currently raising their 8 year old grandson who is their life and joy. They going to fight as hard as they can for him and their other kids. Darren and Molly are hardcore Steelers fans (they bleed black and gold), headbangers, dad joke connoisseurs, and overall good, hard working people. My dad is stubborn and will try to work himself to death in order to provide for his family and make sure food is still on the table. I am asking for any help you can give in order to help him take the time he needs to fight cancer and not have to worry about bills, keeping his shop afloat, and everyone fed.
