Hello my name is Marie and I'm trying to raise funds so that my aunt Darrel can have a life saving surgery and follow up treatments. My aunt came from Antigua to visit family in Florida in July. She became ill and we took her to the ER at Broward General Hospital where they ran a series of tests and diagnosed her with pancreatic cancer. Because my aunt is not a resident or citizen of the US and does not have medical insurance Broward General is refusing to perform the surgery and subsequent treatments until she pays the cost up front. Antigua does not have the medical professionals or the facilities necessary to manage her surgery and treatments.
