Darlington Woods House Fire Fund
Donation protected
A beautiful Labor Day afternoon came to a shocking conclusion for the residents of Darlington Woods in Chester Heights. At 4:15 p.m. a fast moving fire in the 200 block of Windsor Court engulfed one home and severely damaged connected buildings. Fire companies, EMS, Police and the Red Cross from surrounding area quickly responded and contained the fire. The homeowners escaped the blaze after being alerted by a family dog, Enzo. Sadly, Enzo did not survive the fire. Our hearts go out to everyone who has suffered great loses in the fire.
Please consider donating to this GoFundMe. The timeline to rebuild could stretch to as long as two years. The four families affected need our help NOW. They are facing many expenses in their effort to exist from day to day. The money collected will be evenly distributed to the families involved. We are also asking everyone to not only contribute but to reach out to the larger community and spread the word. If you are receiving this information, please post it on Facebook, Instagram, and all other social media. Share with businesses, churches, kind friends, any resources you think would contribute to this worthy cause.
If you do not want to make a donation through GoFundMe, but want to contribute, you may send a check made out to:

This accidental fire could have happened to any of us and we are the benefactors of the wake-up call it has sent to our community. We are all taking fire safety more seriously today and making plans to protect our homes and loved ones. Let’s come together and help our community heal.
