Dear friends, family, and the GoFundMe community;

The Ramey Family needs your help! On May 2nd our mother, Darlene, suffered her third severe stroke. She is now mostly paralyzed and will need continuous care and therapy to make any kind of recovery. We have been informed that the medical benefits for our mother's care will run out before she is feasibly able to participate in a 1-2 week acute rehab program, and she may still need skilled nursing after rehab. Financial resources are desperately needed to provide essential short-term care and rehab, as well as long-term care and therapy.

Darlene is the kind of woman who warms the room with her smile, and everyone who's had the chance to meet her says she's the sweetest person they've met. Our mother is someone who, before her disability, always made time to help people in need, especially in the kind of situation she’s in now. 

We are doing all we can to provide supplemental care, therapy and financial resources. The costs of therapy and recovery are extremely high in both time and resources. In addition to professional care, we need funds to find housing that will accommodate Darlene’s needs.

Expected Expenses:
$5,000 - 1 month of skilled nursing
$9,000 - 3-4 months of Board & Care
$1,000 - Unforeseen Expenses
