Darlena, a faithful employee and pet groomer of 5 years at Alsip Home & Nursery has been battling breast cancer this past year.  In addition to that, she has recently encountered multiple complications leaving her temporarily unable to work.  
Darlena's love and dedication for the pets she cares for is only one aspect of the person she is.
Sergeant Herr also has a love for her country and is a proud Veteran of the Iraqi/Afghanistan conflicts. She has honorably served our country and has been an active member of the Illinois National Guard for the last 13 years.
