Darla Lianne Hagen Jacoby, a native of Fort Myers, passed away at age 44. She is survived by the lights of her life, her children Owen, Julian, and Graelyn.

 

In lieu of flowers, we are requesting that donations be made to benefit her young children who are being raised by their father Jody Jacoby.

 

Darla is also survived by her father, Dr. Warren Hagen, and her siblings, Michael (Janet) Hagen, Phillip Hagen, Elly Hagen (Keith Durling), Sheldon (Mindy) Beck, Gina (Scott) Peterson, Katy Hannon (Joe Madden), Angie (Steve) Wiltgen, Laura (Mike) Stephenson, and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Gloria Hagen, dear grandparents Norman and Nell Clemons, and Larry and Phyllis Razete.

 

Darla attended Canterbury School and graduated from Fort Myers High School. Darla returned to school in her 30s to study nursing and graduated as valedictorian of her class. She worked in the surgical intensive care unit. She loved her career and was proud to follow in her mother's footsteps as an RN.

 

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 10am at Wesley Memorial UMC 4141 Deleon St., Ft. Myers, FL 33901
