We're starting this GoFundMe for our sister, aunt & mom, Darla Goulette. As many of you know, Darla was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain tumor, back in July 2025. She has begun treatment and that will continue for the foreseeable future. We would like to raise money for her and her family, to alleviate some of the financial burden that will come. She has quite the battle ahead of her. She is no longer able to drive, so her family has been taking time to take her to her appointments and help her through her treatment. As we all know- the bills don't stop coming in, even with this kind of diagnosis.

Darla has remained extremely positive throughout this circumstance and if we can just take one little bit of stress out of her day-to-day and help with the expenses, we think it'll help tremendously in her fight to kick Cancer's a$$.

Darla's Story:

The 1st of July, she understood words but couldn't read or understand how to figure the words out. She had lost her peripheral vision in her right eye, asking with field cut vision. She initially spent 12 days in the ICU at United Hospital. After starting chemo and radiation, a ventricular entrapment happened and she was taken to Abbott, where she spent 2 days in the ICU and a subsequent 4 days outside of the ICU, under the care of her medical team. Darla is having daily chemo treatments at home and has radiation treatment Monday through Friday, in New Richmond. "I have a wonderful team at Abbott, who I trust and believe in. My faith is strong and my children, family and friends are caring, helpful and kind. I have the support to see me through this disease, that's hitting me full force with no rhyme or reason. I refuse to stop and give up. It's not in my vocabulary. I WILL be the 2%, that does survive- but I have a lot of work ahead of me. I can kick this. It may take a year, but why can't I? Also, Thank you to 2 special groups, (The Sunshine Group & The Rhino Foundation) in River Falls. Never did I think strangers would step up and be so kind and caring.
