Darla Ann Needs You After Emergency

I generally only ask for help with my fosters and hospice fosters.

I never expected a $220 spay to turn into a dire emergency, where Darla Ann almost lost her life.

But unfortunately, that was the case last week.

I rushed her to my local emergency hospital, but they were unfortunately not equipped to help her, so I was sent to VMCLI so she could get the necessary blood transfusions she needed.

The blood transfusion didn't help, and she wound up needing emergency surgery, more transfusions, and plasma.

By some miracle, she is still with us today and doing well.

But now I am left with a huge bill and trying to navigate that and taking care of everything else.

I could not hesitate to save her life, but now we are scrambling to figure this out.

Any amount helps, and she still has ongoing care and appointments.

I will be posting receipts if anyone has any questions.
