As most of you are aware, Darius has recently received heartbreaking and unthinkable news about his sweet and beautiful little man Dhamani.

At 3 months old, little Dhamani was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Upon that diagnosis, shunts were applied to reduce the swelling. Since then he has grown and thrived for the following 15 months!

However, during the past 2 months, Dhamani started battling ongoing fevers resulting in multiple visits to doctors and hospital stays. During one of the stays he was diagnosed and treated for pneumonia. This was determined to be the cause of the fevers. Shortly after going home the fevers came back resulting in a return to the hospital.

Since the test results during his most recent stay at Banner Hospital were inconclusive of reasons for ongoing fevers, Dhamani was transferred to Phoenix Children's Hospital.

During the past two weeks at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Doctors have run a multitude of tests to find cause of Dhamani’s fevers.

On March 14th, Darius received devastating news. Dhamani was diagnosed with AML (RAM). This is a very rare form of leukemia.

Dhamani has already begun his battle with fighting this and started his chemotherapy treatments. That little guy has already proven he's tough and a fighter. All the while he continues to put that beautiful smile on his face!

Darius and Makayla have already spent countless numbers of days at doctors and hospital visits during the past 2 months and many, many more are ahead. Positive thoughts, prayers, and energy are very much needed and appreciated.

In addition to your positive thoughts and prayers, this will help relieve them from some of the financial pressures and will allow them to focus on Dhamani during treatment, healing and recovery. I know they, as well as their loved ones, would be eternally grateful as this is just the beginning to his road to recovery.
