Hi my name is Trena Rice, mother of Darisha Rice, who was admitted to Vanderbilt Hospital on December 20, 2021. She was critically injured from a non survivable gunshot wound to the head.

Police footage showed that while walking alone near Murfreesboro Pike, a black Dodge charger pulled up and fired two shots, with one striking her in the right side of the head. That bullet fragnated and traveled thru both sides of her brain.

She has made progress from The Trama Unit, to ICU, and now on to a Rehabilitation center. She is blessed to have survived such a tragic incident.

She needs help with growing medical expences, transportation to and from doctors appointments from the rehab facility to Vanderbilt Medical Center, and housing that will be able to accommodate her new life style once she is medically strong enough and cleared to return home.
