What was planned to be an idyllic home-birth turned into an unanticipated medical emergency. Now the Rombold family needs every bit of help you can give.
After 5 days of progressively intensive labor, Darice was rushed to the hospital for an emergency C section. Darice entered the ICU when medical staff couldn't regulate momma’s oxygen levels after the operation. Her husband, Dan, is bringing home their baby boy today (12/10/20), but Darice is still alone in the ICU. With lockdown restrictions, no one knows when she will get the chance to hold her newborn baby and see her husband again.
The first day in the ICU is estimated to cost over $10,000, and every additional day adds another $4,000+ to the bill. All of this is on top of $30,000+ for the unplanned emergency C-Section. Darice’s recovery is uncertain, but the mountain of medical bills is guaranteed for the Rombold family.
