Help Dariana Get The Surgery She Needs

Hi, my name is Dariana and I’m in need of your help. On November 19th I started experiencing some extreme pain on my lower left abdominal area which later that night caused me to experiencing some vomiting. I waited a couple days to see if my symptoms went away on their on however on the day before thanksgiving I attempted to shower and was not able due to the excruciating pain I was experiencing when moving around. That’s when I realized whatever was going on with me was serious and I needed to go to the hospital. I was very hesitant on going to the hospital since I have no medical insurance, but I know I needed to go to figure out what was going on with my body. After 9 hours at the hospital I was told that I have an 8cm cyst on my left ovary. And that the cyst was twisting around my ovary, which was causing me that pain and that the only way to relieve me of this pain is to have the cyst surgically removed due to the size. My fear wasn’t the surgery itself but how will I be able to afford to pay for the surgery when I don’t have any insurance. Plus I haven’t been able to work due to the pain and fear that the cyst could rupture and it be much worse. I was told that the surgery would cost me $25,000 and that’s with the hospital helping me out a little but I just can’t afford that on my own. All this came at such bad timing especially when my husband and I were trying to start building our own little family. Not everyone is always able to help money wise especially during the holiday season but I would greatly appreciate it even if it’s just be sharing my story around.

Hola, mi nombre es Dariana y necesito tu ayuda. El 19 de noviembre comencé a experimentar un dolor extremo en la zona abdominal inferior izquierda que más tarde esa noche me provocó algunos vómitos. Esperé un par de días para ver si mis síntomas desaparecían; sin embargo, el día antes del Día de Acción de Gracias intenté ducharme y no pude debido al dolor insoportable que sentía al moverme. Fue entonces cuando me di cuenta de que lo que me estaba pasando era grave y necesitaba ir al hospital. Tenía muchas dudas sobre ir al hospital porque no tengo seguro médico, pero sé que necesitaba ir para descubrir qué estaba pasando con mi cuerpo. Después de 9 horas en el hospital me dijeron que tengo un quiste de 8 cm en el ovario izquierdo. Y que el quiste estaba retorciéndose alrededor de mi ovario, lo que me estaba causando ese dolor y que la única manera de aliviarme este dolor es extirpar quirúrgicamente el quiste debido al tamaño. Mi temor no era la cirugía en sí, sino cómo podré pagarla si no tengo ningún seguro. Además no he podido trabajar por el dolor y el miedo a que el quiste se rompa y sea mucho peor. Me dijeron que la cirugía me costaría $25,000 y eso con el hospital ayudándome un poco, pero no puedo pagar eso por mi cuenta. Todo esto llegó en tan mal momento, especialmente cuando mi esposo y yo intentábamos comenzar a construir nuestra propia pequeña familia. No todo el mundo siempre puede ayudar con el dinero, especialmente durante la temporada navideña, pero lo agradecería mucho aunque solo fuera compartir mi historia.
