Darian Eckhardt Arts Scholarship

My name is Annie Espinosa. On Valentine's Day 2017, the day of love, my best friend, Darian Kendall Eckhardt passed away in a car accident on her way to school. Darian was filled with so much joy and love for everyone around her, constantly bringing smiles to faces of friends, even those she didn't know! With her humor and outgoing personality, she made lasting impressions on this earth in such a short 18 years.


Darian had a beautiful soul and an outstanding voice. She would sing to anyone and everyone, from the man at the bank to a whole crowd of people at a festival. Darian knew the talent she was gifted with and made it her goal to gift it back to the world.


In the memory of the life she lived, Darian's family and I have decided to make an Music/Arts Scholarship for students attending college with a passion for arts. Our plan is to collect as much as we possibly can in order to give amounts of money to multiple percipients. We hope to collect $5,000 or more in anticipation of giving out multiple smaller scholarships to students who show a true passion for the arts, just as Darian had! This scholarship will not be a typical scholarship with an essay, but a scholarship to show ones true talent. We believe that with the support of friends and our community, through this scholarship, we can help Darian's Gypsy Soul live on by.
