Welcome to Darger's Story,
My name is Larry and I have a 6 year old terrier mix named Darger . I've been really lucky to have him and he's been a constant source of joy and happiness. Darger is a very career driven dog and loves to come to work with me - especially if he gets to hang out with his many friends and maybe get a few treats in the process.

-Darger pulling late nights at work
Two weeks ago Darger didn't wake up his usual playful self. . . By the end of the day, he’d suddenly lost all mobility in his hind quarters. After an emergency trip to the vet, Darger came back with normal X-rays and blood work.
On Tuesday December 4th, I was referred to the Animal Specialty Group in Glendale and the neurologist was able to identify with some degree of certainty that Darger had pain in the thoracolumbar region of his spinal chord. Most likely caused from Type 1 disc disease (occurs most commonly in small-breed dogs). Darger still has nerve connection to his feet and his reflex is still good. The doctor recommends getting a CT scan to isolate the area and go directly into the procedure if they get a positive hit. The neurologist is very optimistic and it is treatable with a high success rate.

- He is still in good spirits despite not being able to walk right now.
How you can help -
We are doing our best to provide for him but these expenses are more than we can handle on our own right now. So, I'm asking for your help. If you are able to make a small donation, it would mean the world to us. We will be forever grateful for your love and support.
All of your donations will go towards his CT Scan, spinal surgery, hospital stay, medications and overall recovery.
Thank you for reading.
