Darent Valley Barn Owl Project - Camera fund

In 2023 NWKCP and Kent Wildlife Trust installed 8 barn owl nest boxes in the Darent Valley in Kent, to provide much needed nesting opportunities for this iconic farmland species. We will be monitoring all the boxes and collecting important data about barn owl breeding. On one of the boxes we have installed an external camera which sends us photos of the occupants. It has captured some beautiful images and we know that the box is occupied by a pair of barn owls. So far, we have raised £100, which has allowed us to purchase an upgraded data package to receive unlimited photos from the Filston Farm camera for one year. We are now seeking donations towards replacement batteries for this camera, and a second year of unlimited photos. Your donation will enable us to monitor the owls' behaviour in more detail, so we can learn how to help them thrive in Kent.
