As many of you know, Daren was hospitalized on Sunday, March 3rd with severe liver failure. He needs a liver transplant which is a very complex and expensive process, with no guarantees as to the outcome.
Currently, the doctors are working to stabilize his liver function which will allow Daren to enter a rehabilitation clinic. Rehab and becoming sober is the ONLY way the transplant can possibility happen and it the best treatment for the disease of alcoholism.
We have already secured a 50% scholarship to the chosen rehab program, but this still leaves a large bill plus additional supports costs during the process. Many of you have already reached out to ask how you can help – so we have put together a process to reach our goal in the short term is to support Daren’s journey of healing and recovery. Sid Stolz who is a longtime friend, supporter and cheerleader for Team Daren with administer this program (with the help of many others), ensuring that the monies collected are counted appropriately and efficiently applied to Daren's treatment plan.
The road to recovery is going to be long and windy, but we are confident that together we can make a difference in Daren's life moving forward. It will take "THIS" Village to help make it happen and we thank you in advance for your generous consideration.
