Hi, my name is Andi and I'm raising money to help my good friends Daren and Amy with their medical bills and living expenses.

They are fighting multiple health crises: within a time span of 2 months, Daren suffered a heart attack and Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Daren is still in cardiac rehabilitation and Amy is home recovering from a double mastectomy. Due to these circumstances, Amy will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time and Daren will be caretaking for her while she recovers; this means he will also be unable to return to his normal work schedule.

They have raised 3 children: one is a recent college graduate and the other two (twins!) are seniors in high school. All of them have participated in multiple sports throughout high school, with one of their twins being awarded a scholarship to Gonzaga University in Fall of 2023.

I have personally known Daren and Amy and been good friends with them both since we were all in high school, and as luck would have it - now we're related by marriage! They have been your typical sports parents, and have always put their kids before themselves - spending every extra minute and dollar on their kids and their kids' goals. In fact, I don't think they've had a free weekend since their oldest was born over 20 years ago!

Being in our mid-40s has wrought quite a few changes in our lives, but "Big D" and Amy have really been dealt a wild card with these massive health issues.
