In Loving Memory of Darcy
Help us keep her spirit soaring
Darcy, the cherished Springer Spaniel, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 15th, 2025, following a serious collision on the M1 Southbound near Sheffield. The family vehicle was struck by a driver who has since been charged with failing to provide a roadside breath test.
Help us keep Darcy’s legacy alive as our eyes in the sky, guiding us in the rescue of even more dogs in the weeks and months ahead.
This Fundraiser aims to raise enough money to purchase a much needed "All Weather Thermal Search Drone" in Darcy's memory.
K9-RSQ have assisted in the rescue of hundreds of lost dogs in the South Yorkshire Area, we are a 100% volunteer Dog Search & Rescue Group.
We are a free service who fund ourselves and rely on small donations from the public.
The Story Behind Darcy’s Drone Fundraiser:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful Springer Spaniel called Darcy, she was almost 2 years old.
One afternoon on Saturday the15th of March, a bad man crashed into the family car on the M1 motorway near Sheffield.
Darcy tragically crossed over the Rainbow Bridge immediately after the collision. Her sister Mabel, and their human family were all OK, but it was chaos.
Her best chum Athena was terrified and ran along the slip road towards the M18 motorway.
With no sign of Athena, K9-RSQ a local South Yorkshire search and rescue team, were asked to help in the search to find her.
For five days they used drones and placed food and cameras around the area.
Some of the K9-RSQ team searched the local areas and asked locals for information.
Athena was safely recovered and reunited five days later and was back home with Mabel and the family.
Now in Darcy’s Memory K9-RSQ would like to raise the funds to purchase a new "Thermal All Weather" Search and Rescue Drone.
These guys are a team of volunteers who do this amazing work absolutely for free, they never charge a penny.
In fact, most of the equipment they use they bought themselves.
Now they want YOU to help.
Please donate to help this amazing group get the new Drone they need.
In Darcy’s memory, the Drone will be named after her.
Thank you for your donations.
All at K9-RSQ South Yorkshire.
