Hi world!this is Darcy, he is 6 years old and has recently been diagnosed with a rare case of a bone marrow failure syndrome. He has a team of doctors trying to figure out his condition and treatment plans. He currently resides on a small remote reserve community with his mom and dad and 4 other siblings. Sharla and tony are the parents and are doing the best they can with the circumstances they've been given. His appointments are sometimes 5 hours drive away to the stollery in edmonton Alberta. He goes to the hospital a couple times a week for blood transfusions and platelets top ups. Alot goes into his daily care. They are needing to save for living costs food for a family of 7 and moveing costs . They will have no jobs once they leave to Calgary. And will need as much help as possible to get through this tough period.
The family soon faces the biggest move they will ever have to make. The BM transplant is coming up faster every day, and those stresses can be defeating when they think they wont be able to survive living.. as they try and sell there belongings to gather enough money for there move. Amongst trying to deal with this pandemic can get overwhelming too say the least. With all the covid and uncertain times it's been tougher on sharla and Tony. To try and figure this all out.
Simple trips to town can compromise Darcy's immune system. And can have serious effects. Not to mention moveing to a city with more risks.
They have little resources to help with the move and daily food costs etc. They are a loveing strong family who need some love and support more than ever. Darcy is the most amazing little boy hes always happy. He understands he is sick and needs a big surgery. He is always smileing and ready for the doctors. And thinks it's cool to be at the hospital where he gets treated so nicley. He has a strong spirit and we are very grateful to the doctors and staff who work together to figure out a diagnosis and treatment options.
Please if yall could find it in your heart to donate it would mean the world to a little boy and his family. Thank you much appreciated.
