Darcy & Janet Campeau lost their home to a devastating fire

Hello, my name is Ashley Campeau, daughter in law of Darcy and Jan. On Friday, December 5 around 10:30 am, Darcy and Janet’s home started on fire. Jan and Nathan were home at the time and had to rush out of the home when they saw smoke coming out the vents. Jan literally left in her pajama and slippers and Nathan left without even being able to grab his wallet. They called 911 and by 10:50, the first fire truck showed up. Living on an acreage, you don’t have access to a fire hydrant, so thanks to many rural community fire stations, a number of water trucks and emergency services showed up to try and extinguish the fire. After many hours of trying to extinguish the fire, they had to call in an excavator to demolish the remaining parts of the house to snuff the fire out as they were unable to fully extinguish it with water. Leaving any hope of recovering anything within the home.
No one was hurt and both Jan and Nathan are safe which is the most important!
Jan and Darcy’s house is totally gone and they have lost everything in it. You don’t realize what all you have until you no longer have it and have to replace everything.
We have had many family and friends ask how they can help and since so much is still unknown for Darcy, Jan and Nathan I thought I’d create this, all money going to them to allow them some extra support through an unimaginable and devastating time.
