We have gone back and forth on whether or not we should share our story. After long hard thought we believe our pain should be known and shared if nothing else to protect others.
A few of you already know our family fell victim of an arson related hate crime on November 5th, 2019. This sick person wrote homophobic obscenities on our back covered patio walls and back door then kicked in our back door broke into our home and continued to writing throughout our house. We were called "fag bitches, told that we would pay for our sins, and die fag bitches". As if all of that wasn't enough they used an accelerant and set our home on fire.
We want our LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY to be aware that there is still so much hate in this world.
Words cannot begin to express the fear, pain, and heartache we have right now all of us for different reasons.
