Darcell Taylor's Funeral Fund
Donation protected
Hello everyone, Im Monet the granddaughter of Darcell and daughter of Vicky Trigg, Darcell's daughter. I'm creating this go fund me fundraiser to help my mom and her siblings obtain the rest of the funds needed to lay my grandmother to rest properly.
My grandmother loss a lot of weight, couldn't walk, had an infection and was dehydrated, we originally took her to the hospital because she was experiencing excruciating abdominal pain which she thought was from her having a prolapsed bladder, but after the test results came back it showed that she had stage 4 cancer, we were unaware of this and it took us by surprise. It was extremely hard to accept the fact that she had cancer because we came to the hospital thinking it was one thing but it ended up being something much worse. The hospital staff gave her medication for the infection she had and didn't know that she was allergic to the medication which caused her to go into anaphylactic shock which would've caused her death if they weren't able to get her back stable. The doctors couldn't treat her cancer due to the infection, it created a build up of fluid in her lungs, uterus, and stomach. The doctors tried to drain the fluid but it was unsuccessful and the cancer spread fast. She was still malnourished even with them trying to push nutrients into her body and her immune system was very weak. Surgery was not an option because in the stage of cancer she had it would've caused the cancer to spread even more than it had already spread. With her having stage 4 cancer there were no other options available to help treat her, she stopped breathing while in the icu and passed away on December 12, 2023
My grandmother won a lot of souls to Jesus Christ, she was a God fearing woman, a missionary, and loved to give and help people.
My mom decided to take on the responsibility of organizing the funeral arrangements despite her own health problems that are currently making this whole process a bit harder for her but by the grace of God she is still pressing her way to make sure her mother will be put to rest properly. In the last days of my grandmother's life my mom stayed overnight at the hospital on numerous occasions, to help out where she could, exhausted both mentally and financially just to be close to her mom until she took her last breath.
