Darby's Journey: From Surgery to Recovery
Donation protected
Darby, the sweetest Moppit with pogo sticks for legs, suddenly wasn't able to walk. She was eager to move, but was dragging her poor rear legs behind her and obviously in pain. After multiple visits to vets and emergency vets and rounds of imaging, Darby's mom, Lisa Bulowicz, was able to have her seen at UW Vet Care. They diagnosed Darby with a herniated disc and performed emergency surgery to repair it. The combined costs are close to $9,000.
Darby made it through the surgery really well and is on the road to recovery, but that recovery is going to be long and will require extensive rehab. While her Labrador brothers would be more than happy to assist, Darby will need professional canine physical therapy and rehab. The cost is absolutely worth it, but Lisa could use our support.
Lisa's generosity to human and canine communities alike knows no bounds. Can we show her some generosity in return and get Darby running through the grass again soon?
