Darby Champion-needs help from her community

I have known this beautiful 26-year-old young woman from Gilbertsville, NY for more than 17 years. She was a friend of my two sons as they grew up together. She lost her mom, very suddenly, while in college some years ago and has since developed epilepsy. She has been struggling with the loss of her emotional support system-her mom, trying to work and keep herself afloat all while having seizures of varying degrees of severity almost daily. This past year she was hospitalized following several severe seizures while at work. She was diagnosed by her doctors with drug-resistant epilepsy and the prognosis is for 2 brain surgeries. I do not have dates for these surgeries. In the last 2 months, she has been let go from her place of work and is struggling to pay basic bills. She is prohibited from driving and is also not allowed to live alone.

I know many of us would like to help her as she has touched many lives. She would help someone in need in a heartbeat! Let us surround this young woman with a show of love and support in any way we can. I will keep updating here as I know more.
