Hi I'm Nancy, a retired Special Educator. My young adult granddaughter Dara is having brain surgery in August. She has a tumor wrapped around the brain stem. Her emotional support team all live and work in Rawlins, Wyoming. The cost of surgery will mostly be covered by insurance, But the projected surgery is so complex that the closest surgeon willing to perform the surgery is in Denver, Colorado, 231 miles from home. Although the family works hard, the surgery was not a planned event, and the cost of food, travel and accommodation is more than finances can absorb. It is projected that Dara will be hospitalized for at least a week. Possible rehab after discharge may be another week. Many unknowns face the family, who all love Dara. Any financial help you can provide will eliminate stress and allow her family to surround with love and eotional help
