Urgent dental work needed
Donation protected
In February of 2020, my situation was such that I was finally was on track to systematically address getting some long overdue dental work done. Then came COVID-19! The pandemic not only affected medical visits in general, but also drastically affected my income from both jobs and roommates. Due to that, I reluctantly had to put off dental work indefinitely.
Fast forward 3 years that were hard on everyone- I finally got re-assessed several months ago and got the good and bad news. It could be worse, but the time to put off dental work is long past. In addition to fillings and gum treatment, I now need 2 more crowns (total of 4), all of them urgent. Last week excruciating pain took me to the dentist and endodontist to find that an old root canal in one of them was harboring an infection. I was blessed by a family member to have enough to cover that as well as the crown. When that pain got better, I realized a tooth on the other side was hurting. The x-ray showed a broken filling stuck between two teeth that must be replaced with a crown immediately so that it does not also turn into a root canal.
All of this feels overwhelming. Tooth pain is affecting my overall health and my mental outlook. I know that fixing the dental issues will allow me to focus on all other aspects of a better quality of life.
I like what John Ortberg says, “I can’t. God can. I think I’ll let him.” For that reason, I am putting my need out there. I have seen in the Lord’s Word how when people share a little, God multiplies it to meet a need. If you feel led to help, either by praying or helping financially I would be most grateful. Please pray for God to provide me with the needed resources to finally get this done.
