This award is established in honor and appreciation of the contributions that Mark “Arch” Archambault made to the skiing community during his 40-year career with the Smugglers' Notch Ski Patrol. Arch was well-respected for his dedication and commitment to continue helping the paid and volunteer patrol staff learn and grow into knowledgeable Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Technicians. In appreciation of his efforts, our goal is that Arch’s passion for recruiting, educating, and developing the next generation of patrol continues to live on as a part of his legacy at Smuggs. This scholarship will be awarded to patrollers who have demonstrated a superior level of achievement in their OEC and ski/toboggan pursuits and service to the Smuggs community and who demonstrate a strong desire to achieve excellence in patrolling skills. Additional consideration will be granted for those who display the playful spirit Arch embodied so that it too may continue!
