Our girlies! Beth, “Kromka,” and our sweet Daphne. What started as a stomach bug that turned out to be E. Coli has now developed into an illness more serious than a child should experience. Sweet Daphne is a very sick girl at the moment. The same sweet Daphne that loves animals, lemonade, her cats, drawing, martial arts, reading, and being a chatterbox in class is now struggling to heal. She is a 6-year-old who should be enjoying her summer break but will now spend the rest of the summer in the hospital. Each step she takes forward, she experiences two steps backward. She is currently at Children’s Hospital where she has officially started continuous 24-hour dialysis. The situation is not only complicated but fragile. This healing journey is and will be long and extremely involved. Children’s Hospital will be both Daphne and Beth’s home for quite some time. This has taken an extreme mental and emotional toll on Beth—Daphne is her world, her light, her love. Love, prayers, and/or positive vibes are more than appreciated at this time. As you can imagine, this has and will continue to be a financial burden. We are asking if you are able, to please help alleviate the financial burden that faces Beth as she will be with her daughter, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for several weeks to months. We will update as often as possible as we walk this journey in complete support and love for both Daphne and Beth. And to Daphne, you are one of the strongest, most fierce little girls we all know!
